Overview
Advanced Concepts and Technologies
International, LLC (ACT I) key staff are expert in modeling
enterprise systems, functional processes and methodologies. Our
methodologies and modeling techniques are mature and provide the
capability to:
- Better Understand Integrated Enterprise Processes
and Operations
- Facilitate Corporate Planning, Budgeting,
and Critical Investment Allocations
- Assess Business Bases, Indirect Cost Structures,
and Financial Performance
Enterprise Models are being used by major corporations
and government offices to fully understand the productivity, schedule
and cost impacts of new systems, production facilities and processes.
Our staff develops your model using your installed information system,
normally requiring no additional investment in information technology.
We conduct analyses of alternatives, risk assessment
and mitigation strategies, and perform sensitivity analyses associated
with corporate operations. The models provide the capability to
model/analyze process improvement concurrent with technology insertion.
Our staff has developed Enterprise Models for
both Government and commercial clients including:
- For the Department of Defense (DoD), developed
a model to support technical, performance and cost analyses for
alternative light combat vehicles. The model and associated
analyses confirmed the viability of the client’s acquisition
planning. The model was expanded to permit analyses of comparative
cost and schedule variances between remanufacture and manufacturing
at a second source.
- For another DoD client, our staff modeled
complete production processes and performed analyses for multiple
tactical vehicle manufacturers. We quantified the relationships
between production rates and costs and determined the minimum
sustainable rate for each program. The models and analyses
were effectively used to justify budget submissions, resource
planning and programming and for “should cost” analyses
and proposal evaluation and negotiations on follow-on procurements.
The models and analyses were also provided to the manufacturers
who have used them to optimize their internal operations and for
production planning.
- We have constructed models and methods
to assess major DoD/Fortune 500 corporations including Lockheed.
Boeing, BAE, Northrop-Grumman, TRW, Pratt & Whitney, GE, and
Rolls-Royce. Our assessments include evaluating business bases,
indirect cost structures, long range financial health and risks,
and the impacts of mergers and acquisitions on program financial
performance. We have also supported fact finding and negotiations
with these firms and DoD programs like F/A-22 and the Joint Strike
Fighter.
